Your path to healing begins with connection
Life often unfolds as a series of contrasts – beauty and pain, joy and sorrow, light and dark. These experiences can live alongside one another, sometimes leaving us unsure of how to hold them all at once, distant from ourselves, and uncertain of where to turn or how to move forward.
Through virtual psychotherapy, I offer adults across Ontario a warm, compassionate space where life’s more fragile moments can be gently gathered and tended to with care, creating room to reconnect with what feels distant or quietly out of place, and to return to the wholeness that has always been yours.
Meeting you where
you are
How we come to express, understand, and hold our feelings, needs, and lived experiences within ourselves and with others can vary across circumstances and over time. Patterns in how we relate to ourselves and others may develop without us fully realizing how or why.
At times, these patterns may be essential to survival, helping to preserve safety, connection, belonging, dignity, or a sense of stability. The same protections may, in different circumstances, also make it harder to remain connected to ourselves and to what feels true within us.
These protections may shape how we relate to ourselves, move through daily life, and connect with others. We may question our feelings, needs, boundaries, or perceptions, feel pressure to hold things together, or live with little room for uncertainty or imperfection.
If you’re carrying something that feels heavy or unclear, you don’t have to hold it alone. This is a space to slow down, breathe, and begin to make sense of what’s been quietly weighing on you. Rather than trying to fix what feels “wrong,” you’re invited to gently explore what’s been tender, protective, or kept at a distance, and consider what it might mean to meet those parts of you with care.
There’s no one right way to begin – only a willingness to arrive as you are, with whatever you carry, and be met with presence, curiosity, and care.
What we might explore together:
About Ashley
Registered Psychotherapist
My path to becoming a psychotherapist was shaped by lived experience: seasons of struggle, periods of uncertainty, the search for support, and the slow practice of softening into the space between self-protection and self-acceptance.
Those experiences and what I learned through them continue to shape how I sit with others: with care and respect for what has brought you here, curiosity about what may not yet have words, and openness to what may become clearer over time.
Individual psychotherapy
Your story is unique, and your path forward will be, too.
Feeling uncertain or vulnerable is often a natural part of opening to change, whether you’re new to therapy, returning with a renewed sense of readiness, or exploring something unfamiliar. You don’t need to have everything figured out. With time and care, we can begin to turn toward what has brought you here and the understandings you may have come to hold about yourself along the way.
Grounded in a person-centred, trauma-informed, and integrative approach, individual psychotherapy offers a space to explore what’s shaping your experience with care and intention.
I draw thoughtfully from different therapeutic perspectives and practices, guided by the relationship and an evolving understanding of you, your needs, and what may best support our work over time.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured psychotherapy approach that may be incorporated into individual psychotherapy when it aligns with your needs, readiness, and the direction of our work.
As part of this process, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements or alternating taps, while working with distressing experiences. It does not require every detail of an experience to be spoken aloud.

Rooted in Relationship
The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of this work. Trust grows over time through warmth, honesty, and openness, shaping how we come to understand and approach what has brought you here.

Beginning together
A gentle, intentional process rooted in connection.
How our work might unfold:
Connect
A gentle place to begin. We'll meet for a complimentary 20-minute video call, a chance to share where you're at in this moment and consider whether working together might feel supportive for you.
Arrive
An invitation to settle in. Our first session offers time to slow down together and begin cultivating trust, safety, and presence, without pressure to have it all figured out or know where to start.
Explore
A space to be curious. Together, we’ll explore your story, noticing what’s been carried, what’s been protecting you, and what might now be ready to be met with care.
Grow
A process of steady unfolding. Over time, our work may deepen your understanding of yourself and support meaningful shifts in how you relate to yourself and move through the world.
Supporting you, virtually
Finding your way, from wherever you are
Whether you're navigating something new or simply sensing it might be time for support, I offer a complimentary 20-minute video consultation as a gentle place to begin.
This time offers space for connection and reflection, to explore what’s guiding you here and whether this feels like a place you’d like to settle into.
If it feels right to move forward, we can gently begin with an intake session, one that holds what you’ve been carrying and what’s asking for care and attention. From there, we can shape a pace that fits your needs, whether that’s weekly, biweekly, or another rhythm that feels right for you.
All sessions are held virtually, offering the flexibility to connect from the comfort of your own space, wherever you are in Ontario.
Sometimes healing begins in connection
Sometimes in the quiet return to yourself
And often in the space between that something softens and we begin to find our way home to ourselves.
