The Path That Shaped My Practice

About Ashley

Before I became a psychotherapist, I spent years searching for clarity, connection, and a way through that didn’t feel so heavy.

From a young age, I felt things deeply – sensitive in ways that were often misunderstood, both by others and by myself. Emotions often lingered just beneath the surface – intense, quiet, and ever-present. I didn’t always know what to do with what I was feeling or how to express it without wondering how it would be received.

Over time, I learned to adapt. I shaped myself around the ways of being I witnessed and the collective influence of culture, community, and peers, while quietly striving for perfection and ‘enoughness’. Though not always visible, these influences ran deep and shaped much of how I moved through the world.

I pushed myself forward, often holding my feelings inward, unsure how to give them space, striving to live up to who I thought I should be. In the process, I lost touch with what felt true and with parts of myself that had long been asking to be met.

It wasn’t until things became too much to hold alone that something began to shift. I sought support – from loved ones, and from therapists who offered the kind of presence and support I needed most.

That experience made it possible to begin turning inward. Rather than trying to change or push away my feelings, I began to listen. I met myself with the gentleness I had long reserved for others.

And as I committed to my own healing, I realized what I had been searching for wasn’t outside of me; it was already within. That quiet remembering became the heart of my healing and, eventually, the foundation of my practice today.

My story, your path forward

A compassionate space where your healing journey is met with understanding and care.

Having sat on both sides of the therapeutic space – first as a client, now as a therapist – I strive to offer the kind of presence I once sought, and now hold with care, knowing how difficult it can be to name what you’re feeling, especially when it feels too big, too unclear, or too much.

In our work together, I offer a steady, compassionate space where all parts of you are welcome – even the ones that feel unsure, protective, or hard to name.

You might be unsure of where to begin, sensing only something tender within longing to be met with compassion and care, and to find a place where it feels safe enough to soften.

If you find yourself uncertain, please know you don’t need to have the right words or a clear sense of where to start. Arriving just as you are, with whatever you're carrying, is enough.

The heart of my approach

Trauma-informed, integrative, and attuned to your unique needs.

I’ve witnessed what can unfold when someone feels truly met. When we are met with kindness, without pressure or the need to fix, there is often space for softening, making it possible for what’s been held inside to gently surface.

This quiet shift creates space for healing and growth, and often, it’s in these moments that we reconnect with parts of ourselves that have been waiting patiently for attention.

My hope is that, through this process, something in you may begin to feel safe enough to turn inward, in whatever way feels most supportive to you.

If and when you’re ready, I’m here to meet you.

You don’t need to have all the answers.

Just a willingness to arrive and be met in the unfolding.
